Galvanized C & Z Purlin — High Tensile Structural Steel |

Galvanized C & Z Purlin — High Tensile Structural Steel | Besi GI C-Purlin

Engineered from high-tensile zinc-galvanized steel, these C & Z Purlins provide a lightweight yet superior load-bearing framework for roofing and cladding. Featuring a pre-punched hole system, they eliminate the need for on-site fabrication or painting, significantly accelerating construction timelines. Ideal for industrial and commercial projects requiring robust structural support.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Structural Efficiency & Construction Speed In the demanding Malaysian construction sector, contractors and structural engineers constantly balance the need for high load-bearing capacity with the pressure to reduce material weight and installation time. Traditional untreated steel channels often require labor-intensive painting to combat Malaysia’s humidity and on-site drilling, which slows down project handover and increases labor costs.

High Tensile Strength & “Z” Lapping capability C & Z Purlins solve these issues through the use of high-tensile galvanized steel. This material allows for lighter sections to carry equivalent loads compared to mild steel, resulting in substantial savings on foundation costs. The specialized “Z” profile allows for lapping (nesting one beam into another) at internal supports, which creates a structurally continuous beam, increasing load capacity and reducing deflection across long spans. Furthermore, the zinc-galvanized coating provides immediate “Tahan Karat” protection, eliminating the need for painting.

Supply Chain & Logistics We understand that project delays are costly. We maintain consistent stock levels of standard sizes to ensure rapid deployment to sites across Peninsular Malaysia, including key hubs in the Klang Valley, Johor, Penang, and the East Coast.

 KEY TECHNICAL FEATURES

✓ High Tensile Steel Composition: Delivers superior strength-to-weight ratio, allowing for optimized structural designs and reduced dead load on the building foundation.

✓ Pre-Punched Hole System: Factory-punched holes ensure precision alignment and faster installation, drastically reducing on-site labor requirements and fabrication errors.

✓ Galvanized Zinc Protection: Offers excellent corrosion resistance (Tahan Karat) suited for tropical climates, removing the maintenance cost and delay of site painting.

✓ Lapping Capability (Z-Purlin): The Z-profile geometry allows for overlapping at supports, enhancing structural continuity and increasing the overall strength and rigidity of the roof system.

✓ Versatile Sizing Options: Available in a wide range of web depths (75mm to 300mm) and thicknesses to meet specific engineering load requirements.

APPLICATIONS & BENEFITS

Industrial (Factories & Warehouses):

Use: Main support framework for large-scale metal roofing and wall cladding.

Benefit: The high tensile strength supports longer spans between frames, maximizing usable internal floor space.

Commercial (Shopping Malls & Showrooms):

Use: Secondary structural framing for complex roof geometries.

Benefit: Lightweight nature reduces the overall steel tonnage required, offering better competitive project rates.

Infrastructure (Public Facilities/JKR Projects):

Use: Durable structural support for government and community buildings.

Benefit: “Industry Standard Compliant” durability ensures long-term structural integrity with minimal maintenance.

Coastal Areas (East Coast/Islands):

Use: Structures exposed to higher salinity and humidity.

Benefit: Galvanized finish provides essential protection against rust formation where traditional painted steel might fail.
